The JAAAs is no different that the JOA. Both Associations put the athletes last instead of first as they should. They move as if they're doing a favour for the athletes when in fact its because of the success of the athletes and coaches that the JOA and JAAA even get to make any money from the sponsors. THIS is why MVP does it their way without ANY help from them....yet so many people want to beat Franno and defend those "Jokers". The associations need to answer where the money goes since the athletes NOT seeing it. And while they're asking that question.....Lets ask the Government where they are in the investigation of SSL. Do they know who stole Bolt's and the other peoples money??? (and when I say Government....I mean BOTH Parties)

@Coaches Desk TV - So Babsy is there in her 'capacity' of Minister and the first thing that comes out of her mouth is .." Government cannot get involved." Ok, so there is a 'clause' by the racist IOC that says blah blah the committee must be free from all govt influences blah blah. But what our sorry-ass leaders forget is that in other countries and especially the WYT HEGEMONIES, their govt is involved when they want and yet the racist IOC says nothing. But when the little peons especially in the Caribbean and hurry come up like Jamaica have a problem, if they get involved we will be threatened with sanctions. According to a host on another media, there seem to be some simmering animosity between Samuda and Gayle from previous elections they contested; even Quarrie, who has been named Chef de Mission, has his own share of grievance with the JAAA and is often critical of the Association. Without taking sides, Mr. Gayle seems to me, to be the honest broker; if only because he appears to be looking out for the interest of the athletes--to facilitate them so that they can give of their very best at the olympics. Furthermore, he stated that he has documented evidence of hostility generated toward him/JAAA coming from the JOA. Whenever the athletes don the colors of the nation they should be given the maximum support to realize their full potential and all pettiness and "carry-belly" mentality should be put aside. No one's interest is served by this behaviour on the part of the JOA--The way I see it, the JAAA, the athletes, and ultimately Jamaica, are being sabotaged. It was quite astounding to hear that sponsors have provided funds to assist Jamaica's quest, yet the JOA is reticent to disburse what is necessary, being quite parsimonious and vindictive; clinging tightly to the purse strings. And even more disgraceful is the idea that they refuse to fund the olympic training camp in Germany for the athletes. Yet, when the athletes do well at the olympics [despite the odds and obstacles against them that the JOA seem reluctant to help alleviate] the JOA receives a bonus from the IOC, according to the esteemed Glen Mills, and not one penny is given to the athletes, thereby compounding the insult. This is truly disgraceful and needs to be resolved speedily. The current leadership of the JOA needs to be removed and replaced with competent people who can put aside petty differences in the interest of JAMAICA.

In national team games, players earn money only through the sponsors. They aren't paid officially although the board may decide to pay them in form of bonuses. The game is more important because of the level, the audience and the fact that a player is getting a chance in his Nation's top 11. Club football, on the other hand, is absolutely based on money. Because if a player isn't satisfied with the wage, he has an option of changing the club. Loyalty is not mandatory here. And we have seen that quite a lot in cases of players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham, Ronaldo (Brazil) and many more. As an american who loves and supports Jamaican Sprinters (despite arguing with crazy Jamaican’s on here all the time because they seem to think I’m somehow an enemy & keep attacking me), I’m with Glen Mills! I’m actually disappointed he said #2 OR #3 team in the world…Jamicans are either #1 or #2 to we black Americans! We are BOTH the BEST IN THE WORLD, and we both deserve tremendous respect from this entire globe for what we were able to accomplish after being mere abused and oppressed people in shackles when we got far away from home and had our entire ancestry deleted from the history books! I’m proud of our people, our accomplishments, and some respect needs to be put on the names of the Jamaican Sprinters, and moreover consideration needs to be taken for their hard work and efforts put forth to represent their nation.
